Jets won’t move RB Breece Hall at deadline
Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz
Even though running back Braelon Allen is thriving for the New York Jets while Breece Hall is still sidelined, Aaron Glenn has no plans to part with another major piece at the trade deadline.
Hall missed his fifth straight game Sunday with a quadriceps injury. Yet six months after signing a three-year contract extension, the running back is still part of Gang Green’s long-term plans.
“Breece is still a part of this team,” Glenn said during a press conference Monday. “…I’ve said it before: Our goal is to keep good players, and he’s one of our best players. So Breece will always be there.”

Khalil Mack Tries to Dispel Trade Rumors
Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz
As a 35-year-old nine-time Pro Bowler playing on an 0-7 team, Khalil Mack seems like a natural candidate for a trade.
But despite playing a season-low 35 snaps in Sunday’s 24-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the Los Angeles Chargers edge rusher is trying not to pay attention to the buzz that he might be on the move.
“At the end of the day, you have to be where your feet are,” Mack said on Sunday, according to Eric Williams of Fox Sports. “That can be the hardest thing when you’re dealing with a lot of outside noise and stuff. Just trying to be where your feet are at all times. That’s kind of been my thing the last few years.”

All eyes on Colts running back Jonathan Taylor
Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz
With some of the highest-profile figures on the block already moving on earlier this season, Colts running back Jonathan Taylor seems like the obvious potential prize at the trade deadline.
ESPN reported Saturday that Indianapolis was willing to part ways with Taylor for the right price, adding that several teams had contacted each other and discussions would be ongoing.
Taylor had just eight carries in a 42-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but coach Shane Steichen said that wasn’t the result of the team trying to keep him healthy for a potential deal.
“It wasn’t like we had a number on his luggage,” Steichen said. “I know he did fewer races than usual, but that has nothing to do with anything.”
Teams linked to Taylor include the Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers.
But what would be the best landing spot for the three-time Pro Bowl running back? Jacob Camenker of USA TODAY Sports explained how Taylor would fit in with six teams.
