Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa didn’t win the Mirrorball trophy, but they did get matching tattoos.
The actress, 45, and her “Dancing With the Stars” pro partner, 25, debuted identical ink via Instagram on Thursday, two days after being cut from season 35 of the ABC competition series.
The duo have eight stars engraved on their wrists, explaining in their Instagram caption that there is “one… for every time (they) have to dance together.”
Sosa also got a chair tattoo on his ribs to represent the prop Stiles danced with in 2001’s “Save the Last Dance” — and used it again in their October jazz routine.
As for Stiles’ second tattoo, she got “diva check” written in the script – and Sosa clarified the meaning in the comments section.
“That’s how I asked her how she was every day,” the choreographer wrote.
Jenna Dewan, who is still competing to win this season of “DWTS” with professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy, welcomed the touching tributes.
“Omg 😭,” the “Step Up” star, 45, commented.
When Sosa and Stiles were kicked out of the show on Tuesday, the latter assured the dancer via Instagram that they “won in so many ways.”
The “10 Things I Hate About You” star, who came out after performing a paso doble to “Satisfied” from “Hamilton,” wrote, “I made this for the little girl in me who stopped dancing. …love you forever @ezrasosa.”
Sosa has been on the show since 2021, previously competing against fraudster Anna Delvey and Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles – and getting tattoos to honor both experiences.
In 2024, he had the word “nothing” written on his back after Delvey, 35, went viral for saying she was what she got from her time on the show.
Sosa explained via Instagram why the tattoo “felt right for me,” writing, “it’s not about glossing over what happened but about taking back control of my story.” »
The following year, he and Chiles, 25, got “just married” tattoos due to widespread romantic speculation.
Sosa told Out magazine last week that he had already “let it be known” to “DWTS” casting directors that they would be competing with a same-sex partner next season.
“I’m using my magic,” he said. “I 100% really want to make this happen. I’m so passionate about queer dance in general, especially being a part of the queer community.”
