Former child actor Brandon “Bug” Hall is asking for financial support as he prepares to welcome his sixth child.
The “Little Rascals” star, 41, shared a GoFundMe fundraiser asking for help paying various bills before his wife Jill welcomes baby No. 6 in less than a month. He explained that it had been six years since he “self-canceled” and that he had avoided seeking help during that time.
“I always said it was my choice, and so I didn’t want to take this glorious burden off my shoulders unless there was no other choice. Well, here we are,” Hall wrote. “We got to the new lot in record time, but I’m missing a few materials to make everything work properly, and I’m a little behind on the few bills we have (phone, propane for the camper, and unexpected electrical hook-up service charges).”
He said his family is “excited to be where we are, and we even enjoy roughing it,” adding that he really needs help “to tie up loose ends first.”
“I’m hoping to have everything finalized here over the next couple of weeks so we can work until the baby arrives. Times are tough for everyone, and I don’t deserve it any more than anyone else, but I’m asking your charity to help where you can, whether financially, by sharing this, or through prayer and sacrifice for the Hall-Barnetts of the Holy Cross,” he concluded.
The fundraiser raised over $15,000 on Saturday, November 7.
He and Jill, married since 2017, share four daughters and a son, seen in a photo included in the GoFundMe page.
Bug Hall-Barnett was arrested in 2020 for ‘blowing’
Hall was arrested in June 2020 for “huffing,” a form of drug addiction that involves inhaling smoke and vapor in order to get a high. Officers responded to a call about a possible overdose/poisoning after eyewitnesses reported seeing someone blowing near a dumpster in Weatherford, Texas.
Hall-Barnett was convicted of possession for inhaling or ingesting a volatile chemical. He was released on June 21 after spending the night in prison.
Six years earlier, Hall reunited with his co-stars to celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary by recreating iconic scenes from the film.
The Fort Worth, Texas, native is best known for playing the wavy-haired and dim-witted Alfalfa in 1994’s “The Little Rascals.” Before leaving his Hollywood career in 2020, he also appeared in films like “Hercules,” “The Big Green,” “Honey” and “We Shrunk Ourselves,” as well as several TV shows, including “Charmed” and “CSI: Miami.”
