A Bronx woman says she was fired from Costco after raising the alarm that her boss was sexually harassing her.
The anonymous accuser alleges she was fired from the East Harlem Costco on East 117th in January 2025 after working there for two years because she spoke out against the “hostile environment” created by her direct supervisor, Andrea Mills, according to the complaint filed Oct. 1 in Manhattan Supreme Court.
Mills’ alleged inappropriate behavior began during a meeting in October 2024 when she complained about the shirt the accuser was wearing — a Costco crew-neck uniform.

When another supervisor allegedly asked for clarification on the issue, Mills yelled at the woman: “You are a big-breasted woman!” »
During his next shift, Mills allegedly came up behind the woman while she was working the register, “invaded (her) personal space” and sang to her that she was “the most beautiful girl in the room,” according to the complaint.
The accuser claimed in the filing that Mills “continued to sexually harass her” in an attempt to force her out of her job. It is unclear why she believed Mills wanted her to resign.
Although she never quit, she requested to leave her job early after repeatedly feeling uncomfortable around Mills and took at least one approved day off, according to the lawsuit.
The woman claimed she made at least five verbal complaints to other bosses and formally reported the alleged misconduct, but no action was taken.

She even heard another supervisor call her a “troublemaker” for filing a complaint.
One of her performance reviews even reportedly read: “(She) needs to stop thinking people are attacking her.” »
His issues with Mills came to a head in December 2024 when the two reportedly had a heated argument over how a customer outburst was handled at the checkout.
Both women were sent home, but only the accuser was fired in January 2025. She claims it was an act of retaliation.
Mills, the accuser’s attorney and Costco did not respond to requests for comment.
