SCOTRUN, Pa. (WPVI) — Authorities are investigating a double homicide at Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains.
The Monroe County Coroner’s Office confirmed Tuesday that it is investigating the incident at the family resort located at 1 Great Wolf Drive in Scotrun, Monroe County.
Great Wolf Lodge released a statement saying, “We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by a tragic domestic incident that occurred yesterday in a guest room at our resort in the Pocono Mountains. This was an isolated domestic incident and we are fully cooperating with local law enforcement as they conduct their investigation. Department.”
A spokesperson for the complex told Action News that operations at the complex were continuing after saying law enforcement “determined that this was an isolated domestic incident and verified that there were no ongoing safety concerns.”
Resort officials added that there is a small area of the resort that has restricted access due to the police investigation, and if a guest is not comfortable visiting the resort at that time, they are offering the option to reschedule their visit to a different date without a change fee.
