Broncos to place running back RJ Harvey on injured reserve after practice injury

Broncos running back RJ Harvey will miss at least the next four games.

Harvey is listed on injured reserve due to a knee injury he suffered in practice this week, according to Ian Rapoport.

An injured reserve stint must last at least four games, so Harvey will be on IR at least tomorrow against the Chiefs, Week 9 against the Panthers, Week 10 bye, Week 11 against the Raiders and Week 12 against the Steelers. He will be able to return in week 13, December 6 against the Dolphins.

Harvey is a backup who plays a lot on third downs and is the Broncos’ leading receiver out of the backfield, with 25 catches for 217 yards this season. He also has 24 carries for 87 yards.
