The Los Angeles Dodgers have plenty of reasons to worry on the field right now, but one of their outfielders took issue with what fans are seeing between innings in the MLB playoffs.
Dodgers outfielder Alex Call called on Major League Baseball and its broadcast partners to remove what he described as “soft pornographic ads” from postseason broadcasts, arguing that parents should not have to worry about what might appear on screen when watching games with their children.

Playoff ad sparks outrage
Although baseball is one of the most family-friendly things you can put on television, the commercials throughout the postseason haven’t exactly been that way. And one fan was quick to point it out.
“Hey @MLB – want more kids to watch baseball? Maybe start with the commercials,” baseball fan Taylor Murphy wrote in an article on X.
Murphy cited “Megan Fox selling erectile dysfunction pills in a red bodysuit”, “The scariest movie trailer you’ve ever seen” and “Sydney Sweeney without clothes promoting sports betting”.
Murphy was referring to Sweeney’s advertisement for Novig, a sports prediction marketplace. The ad shows the actress using sports gear to cover up without wearing any clothes. The ad has already attracted criticism from several female athletes, including Sophie Cunningham.

“The leagues don’t understand why kids aren’t watching. You don’t need a Nickelodeon game. You’re not the Savannah Bananas. Just show baseball in a way I can leave at home,” Murphy added.
“Parents shouldn’t have to worry about this.”
The post went absolutely viral and caught the attention of Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Alex Call, who shared Murphy’s post on Wednesday and supported him.
“Can we please remove pornographic ads from playoff broadcasts, TBS, Fox, NBC, @MLB? My son wants to watch baseball with Dada, but how can I justify this when a half naked woman (sic) can appear on screen at any time?? It’s America’s pastime. Parents shouldn’t have to worry about this,” Call wrote.

Murphy then thanked the Dodgers outfielder for his support.
“Thanks for spreading the word, Alex! It’s such a shame,” Murphy responded.
Call’s post also quickly took off, racking up over a million views. Clearly, he’s not the only one who’s noticed what’s happening in the playoffs this year.
The Dodgers star isn’t happy with Sydney Sweeney’s “soft porn ads,” which appears first on The Comeback: Today’s Top Sports Stories & Reactions.
