A year before Ken Urker’s death, Gypsy Rose Blanchard admitted to defacing her bedhead in a jealous, drunken rage.
The “Life After Lockup” alum described to her pal Amelia Bird, who is currently behind bars, the aftermath of discovering a letter her then-partner wrote to an ex during a phone call in September 2025, obtained Thursday by the Daily Mail.
The former reality TV star said she “stayed out until maybe 5 p.m.” drinking a mix of “vodka, tequila, rum and whiskey” with a friend – before returning home and “grabbing a knife from the kitchen.”
Blanchard recalled: “I go to this headboard and I stab the mother-king’s headboard, and I carved ‘whore’ into the headboard. And I put a note that said, ‘Sleep with your one and only. -G.'”
Additionally, the 35-year-old admitted to smashing “a picture frame of them on the floor,” with glass everywhere.
She also managed to throw letters they had written while she was serving time for the murder of her mother Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard “in the air like money”, as well as cutting up a blanket she had made for him with scissors.
The outlet obtained a video of the latter, in which Gypsy Rose destroyed the cover while screaming: “‘This is how I feel about you! Lies, lies, lies!… Fuck you!’
While chatting with Bird, Gypsy Rose continued, “Then I packed my suitcase, then I went to my parents’ house. Then I left him a lot of mean messages. ‘You’re a piece of shit.’ …’I never want to see you again.’ Still drunk as fuck.
She shared that Urker responded with his intention to seek sole custody of their now 1-year-old daughter Aurora, calling Gypsy Rose “a danger to herself and others around her.”
Gypsy Rose told her friend: “I didn’t treat him the way I should have. I always accused him of cheating, drama, drama, so if he was done I wouldn’t blame him for real.”
“There are people close to me who say to me: ‘You scared him. Do you know why you were in prison, to pull out a knife in anger and attack something?'” she added. “Because of my story, it freaks people out, let’s be real. It freaks people out.”
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating Urker’s Oct. 1 death, told the outlet that the headboard incident, although they were aware of it, was not reported last year — and that even if it was, charges would not have been filed because only personal property was damaged.
Urker’s sister Autumn spoke to the Daily Mail about the “dangerous” incident, recalling how “nervous” and “worried” she felt when she found out.
Autumn had a conversation with Urker six months after the fact about how Gypsy Rose’s “pattern” of behavior might “get worse,” at which point her concerns “fell on deaf ears” as the duo reconciled.
However, the couple had separated by the time Urker was found dead in his Louisiana home earlier this month, on what would have been his 34th birthday.
A source told Page Six, “They both said amicably a month ago, let’s leave it here, take our space and see where we are. It wasn’t anything mean… It was just a mutual agreement. They were co-parenting.”
His body was surrounded by drug paraphernalia and a handgun, which Autumn claimed to the Daily Mail he began sleeping with every night after allegedly receiving death threats and being doxxed.
Although Urker’s cause of death has not yet been confirmed, Gypsy Rose called his death an “overdose” in her first statement on the tragedy.
She later posted a tribute to Urker on Instagram, writing: “You will always be my greatest love story. You will be remembered and loved forever. ❤️.”
We learn that Gypsy Rose will be at the Urker family’s upcoming memorial service in Texas.
