“Little Rascals” star Brandon “Bug” Hall is asking fans for financial help as he and his wife prepare to welcome their sixth baby.
Hall, 41, started a GoFundMe fundraiser on Thursday, sharing that he “really needs help.”
“It’s been six years since I self-canceled, and I’ve avoided doing one the whole time. I’ve always said it was my choice, and so I didn’t want to take this glorious burden off my shoulders unless there was no other choice. Well, here we are,” Hall wrote in the description.
The former child star wrote that he fell behind on some family bills after moving to a new property in rural Arkansas.
He shared that he needed help “buttoning up the last few things” before their sixth child arrived.
“These are tough times for everyone, and I deserve it no more than anyone else, but I ask you, in your charity, to help where you can, whether financially, by sharing this, or through prayer and sacrifice for the Hall-Barnetts of the Holy Cross,” he wrote.
So far, Hall has raised $10,130, which exceeded his original goal of $2,000.
The star’s GoFundMe comes just months after he was arrested and charged in Ohio in April for failure to appear for a court date following an October 2024 traffic citation.
In 2020, he was arrested in Texas for sniffing air bombs.
Hall, who is best known for playing Alfalfa Switzer in Steven Spielberg’s 1994 comedy, previously revealed to the Daily Mail that he had taken a “vow of poverty” and was living off the grid as a “radical Catholic extremist.”
He said he gave up the money he earned as a child star, donating it to charity, along with many of his possessions.
“My goal is to maintain a life as free as possible from any need for income,” he told the outlet at the time.
“If there is a financial need that arises, I will work or do a small job, to get money to meet that need,” he said.
Previously, Hall and his family lived in Los Angeles and Texas.
The former actor told the Daily Mail that they homeschool their children and would “strongly discourage” them from ever going to college.
He called formal schooling “nonsense.” The former star also called same-sex marriage “contrary to natural law” and abortion “clearly murder.”
“I didn’t want to do work that was basically meaningless, making widgets to entertain people or distract them,” Hall told the outlet at the time about his decision to leave Hollywood.
