Nintendo Switch 2 Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Live Restock – Target Confirms Online Release This Week

Forget consoles, what about controllers?

The console has been sold out for a minute with no real restock.

I decided to check out the Pro Controllers in case one was available instead.

Two editions of the Ocarina of Time box set

Did you know that there are two variant covers of the physical edition of Ocarina of Time?

There is a textured aluminum version and a normal version. You will know which one you have if the lettering on the back is gold (foil) or white (normal).

A quick check in the UK

Major UK retailers were out of stock for most of the day, but I checked again in case anyone was trying to get hold of one before dinner.

Of the retailers I checked, Argos may have some, but you’ll need to enter your postcode to check. I tried several London and Bradford codes just to see but all of these places were out of stock.

Reminder: Target stock drops tomorrow (November 6)

We mentioned it above but as a reminder, if Target is your favorite or closest retailer, the company does not have stock today.

However, Target previously confirmed that it would open sales on Friday, November 6.

Official Ocarina – out of stock

Nintendo is selling an official playable Ocarina from the Ocarina of Time remake for $34.99. From what I understand, this actually works.

Unfortunately it’s already sold out, but I’ll keep an eye on things in case it pops up again.

Retailer Sweep

Stock doesn’t last long. I just published an article on the official Nintendo Store twenty minutes ago and the Zelda console is already sold out.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at all the retailers right now.

If you prefer to get your gear straight from the source, it looks like the 40th Anniversary Switch 2 is available from the official Nintendo Store.

Check out the Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition for $519.99 on the Nintendo Store.

Walmart no longer has a Pro Controller!

Hope you managed to score a Zelda Pro Controller if this one was on your wishlist during Walmart’s restock. For my part, the retailer once again shows the dreaded “exhausted” message. I’m already looking out for other restocks!

Target (re)confirms Zelda Switch 2 restocking this week!

Last week, Target confirmed that it would be restocking the Zelda Switch 2 console on Friday, November 6 via an update on its listing page, before removing said update, leading to fears that the restock may have been delayed. Good news! The message came back, Target will restock tomorrow (November 6)and on the same day it will also restock the console in store. You can therefore try both at your nearest target and online.

Zelda Switch 2 Pro Controller IN STOCK at Walmart!

It’s not the console, but you can get the Zelda-themed Switch 2 Pro controller at Walmart. The page already has a “low stock” warning, so don’t expect it to stick around for long. If you want this nifty Switch 2 accessory, go get it now.

A surprising Ocarina of Time offer for British players!

If you’re in the UK and haven’t yet picked up your copy of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, you can currently grab it for £54 at Amazon. That’s a saving of £5. It’s not a huge discount, but any form of deal on a new release is pretty rare!

Unfortunately, on Amazon US the game is listed at its standard MSRP of $69. In fact, it seems Ocarina is so popular that Amazon is having stock issues, with new orders not expected until November 12-13. You might want to get it digitally.

What is your favorite Zelda game?

Still nothing new to report on the restock side, so to pass the time, tell me your favorite The Legend of Zelda game in the poll above! Personally, I would choose Breath of the Wild, but I still have several classic Zelda games left to play.

Your best chance of getting a Zelda Switch 2 (probably) isn’t online!

As the United States begins to wake up, it’s worth noting that the best chance of getting a Zelda Switch 2 today appears to be in-store rather than online. We know Target, Best Buy, Walmart, and GameStop have been restocked in-store, although social media suggests the majority of inventory was picked up at various midnight launch events. However, if you live near a retailer and don’t mind giving it a shot, you’ll want to go there in person and try your luck!

You could play Ocarina of Time now!

It’s Ocarina of Time launch day. The game is wild and players are taking their first steps in this visually stunning remake. If you haven’t picked up your copy yet, what are you waiting for? I’ll soon be diving into my own copy that just arrived, but fear not, I’ll be here for several more hours to follow the Switch 2 restocking!

Nothing to report at the moment!

There isn’t really an update here, but the current situation is that there is nothing to report. I just had my latest retailer scan and I don’t see any stock in the US or UK, the Zelda Switch 2 remains sold out pretty much everywhere (unless you’re willing to pay a huge markup to a scalper). I’ll keep checking, of course, and hope that as the US begins to wake up we’ll see more activity.

Is the Ocarina of Time remake worth the hype?

While we (hopefully) wait for more Zelda Switch 2 restocks, why not check out our Ocarina of Time review? Our reviewer was very impressed with the game, saying, “The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a joy to revisit from start to finish thanks to its stunning 4K visuals, full orchestral score, and sleek, modern controls,” and giving it an “Editor’s Choice.” So I guess it was worth the wait!

Target Confirms Online Restock…Or Did It?

Target Listing Page for Nintendo Switch 2 Zelda Edition

Right now, the only confirmation of an online Zelda Switch 2 restock comes from Target. Last week the retailer updated its listing page confirming more stock in store today (November 5) and online to follow tomorrow (November 6). But here’s the thing, that post, which you can see in my screenshot above, has since been deleted. Does this mean that Target won’t have a restock online Friday. We’ll have to wait to find out. But for now, I still think Target is the retailer to watch.

Free midnight in-store launch events, restocking!

In a welcome throwback, many retailers, including Best Buy, Walmart and GameStop (as well as Argo in the UK), held midnight launch events for Zelda: Ocarina of Time last night. Looking at my social feeds, it seemed like a lot of places also had stock of the Zelda Switch 2 console during these events. This could mean retailers are out of stock, but hopefully these in-store drops will be followed by new chances to secure a console (and Pro Controller) online later today.

To welcome!

Many Nintendo fans are hoping that today will also bring a restock of the limited edition Zelda Switch 2 console, and I’m here to keep a close eye on retailers in case stocks drop.
