Some Sony first-party games have been removed from the PlayStation Store

Like Sony moving towards a fully digital futureIt’s scary to see a handful of its first-party games suddenly disappear from the PlayStation Store without warning, even if only temporarily. Fans have discovered that some PlayStation Studios games have apparently been delisted in different regions, including Talent 2, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake CollectionAnd God of War III: Remasteredall apparently due to a pricing error.

Right now, if you search for any of these games on the PlayStation Store in North America, they won’t appear at all. Luckily, if you’ve already purchased the game, you can still download it from your collection. In God of War IIIIn the case of, it appears the game was priced incorrectly (around 50 cents) on the Mexican PlayStation Store. So it looks like Sony simply removed each of them from the store until they figure things out. We’ve reached out to Sony for clarification on this matter and will update this story if we receive a response.

If it’s just a technical issue to resolve, that’s a relief. However, as Sony attempts to move the video game industry away from physical discs and begin strictly releasing games through its own digital storefront starting in 2028, it’s a rather troubling reminder that the company has the power to simply remove games from that store with the press of a button. I hope they come back soon. God forbid the world goes on without the fantasy of Talent 2 for too long. Additionally, if Naughty Dog is (Unfortunately) work on a new Unexplored as was reportedpeople will have to go back and play these original games at some point.
