Sydney Sweeney is filming “The Housemaid’s Secret” in New York, and producers are worried that so many paparazzi will swarm the set because the photos could reveal some of the film’s surprise twists.
Says an insider: “They’re filming in New York and New Jersey with Sydney and Kirsten Dunst. There are so many paparazzi on location that every day (filming) we literally try to avoid spoilers from the paparazzi. They’re doing what they can to block the photographers, because it’s a thriller with twists and turns and all that.”
The insider added that the film in production from the director Paul Feig looks “really stylish and cool”.
Paparazzi photos from the shoot so far have shown Sweeney sharing a kiss with a co-star on the street.
But a dad there told us: “Sydney is great and the set was very relaxed. There were no problems.”
Another source said the production wants to preserve the film’s twists and turns because they work well in the theater with audiences.
The film is a sequel to last year’s hit, “The Housemaid,” which grossed $400 million worldwide on a $35 million budget for Lionsgate.
The studio greenlit a sequel just over two weeks after the first film’s debut. The film follows Sweeny’s character, Millie Calloway, taking a cleaning job for a mysterious client she never allowed to see.
