A new trailer has been released for “Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis,” the reimagining of the original “Tomb Raider” game from 1996.
Created in Unreal Engine 5, it offers new visuals, skill trees and an expanded story of Atlantis that will connect the different eras of Lara Croft.
As Lara, harness your intelligence and athleticism to explore exotic locations lost in time. From the jungles of Peru to the ancient ruins of Greece, the deserts of Egypt and a mysterious Mediterranean island shrouded in myth.
Traverse dangerous landscapes, defeat deadly contraptions, and confront deadly predators while searching for the scattered pieces of the Scion, an artifact of immeasurable power.
Polish game developer Flying Wild Hog (“Trek to Yomi,” “Shadow Warrior”) is working with Crystal Dynamics on the remake, and potential remakes of 1997’s “Tomb Raider II” and 1998’s “Tomb Raider III” are expected to happen if it goes well.
The project is separate from the new major entry “Tomb Raider: Catalyst” which is scheduled for release in 2028 and is the most advanced entry in the timeline to date – after “Tomb Raider: Underworld”.
“Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis” hits stores on February 12, 2027.
